Pembroke Pizza

I've always wanted to try Pembroke Pizza but never had the opportunity when the urge for pizza came up. It's located on the corner of a small shopping center off Independence Blvd. and you may miss it since the sign isn't really large. The parking is minimal but the majority of the orders were to go do you should be able to find a spot. If not, you can park on the street adjacent to it. I ordered the 8" cheese pizza because of you can't get a cheese pizza done right, you might as well not call yourself a pizza restaurant. I asked for jalapeños and sweet peppers for this hot day. Plus, I wanted to see a contrast of colors so the cheese. The crust was cooked to perfection: soft with a crunchy upper layer. I was expecting a NY style and I'm so happy it wasn't. I'm not a fan of thin pizza crust. It was good amount of cheese to crust ratio. I never felt like I was shorted. The sauce won't knock you out but it works in tandem with everything else. I'm definitely coming back. If you're in the Pembroke area, give it a shot. They also have various calzones, pastas, subs, and wings of your not in the mood for pizza.

Always get the family size Stromboli but have eaten other foods. Lately the Strombolis weren't completely cooked. But it was no big deal because we would just finish cooking it. However, found some gift cards that expired less than a week ago that was purchased last year. Manager refused to honor them. Why would a business want to lose a regular customer over a couple 10$ gift cards?

We came all the way from Pa to visit family in OBX , we drove to Virginia Beach to go to an arcade and came across Pembroke pizza. We went and ate in. The waitress was great! Brought drinks as they were empty. Very polite. The food was soooo good we got a medium pepperoni pizza and a pepperoni stromboli and they were delicious!! I recommend for sure!

This has been our go to pizza place for several years. The last two times we have ordered we have been disappointed. First issue... we ordered a pepperoni pizza and wings for pick up. We received an over cooked cheese pizza with pepperoni on the side🤦🏻‍♀️. The second time we ordered 2 pizzas for delivery ( I could actually walk there in about 5 minutes). We were told 45 minutes. Over an hour later I called and was told the system was down and they didn't know where our food was. My husband and friend went there to find out what was going on and all they were told is "stuff happens." After expressing concern for the downturn in service, the employee called him an a-hole. So... Unfortunately, we will not be going back. It saddens me as we like to support small businesses.
